Along the KATY

Stayed Tuesday night in Hermann (named for a German defender against the Romans). This area has a large German population. This section is also along the flood plain of the Missouri...so flat that when it rains (like it did last night) lakes form in the fields.
We met Margaret Eastbound from ID, 3 guys EB on the KATY, and a young family going from FL to OR!
Still Indigo Buntings abound..like fine art in Florence!
Best bird- Oriole.
