Goodbye drivers, hello granny gear!

Well, we've been spoiled for 2 weeks having Dan & Piri carry all our gear. Dan left last week for other adventures north. Piri left today for Boulder CO having been our tour guide for 10 days. We'll miss them both as they were great company!
We had some big hills today. Carrying our gear was a seriuos reality check! They took much longer & required more cookie & drink breaks. The weather has been good though, cold at night, but not wicked hot in the day.
No amazing landscapes either, but we'll play tourist at Bryce Canyon before heading to Panguitch Lake on Tuesday. I'm sure those photos will make up for today.

  1. Pretty intense stuff, momma. Hang in there with the gear on your back. I told a friend what you're up to and she said "You're mom's an amazing woman!". True dat!

  2. Dear Bub,

I tried to write about this amazing feat the other day but I did not have a cool enough profile for the comment to take. Now I have steelersyoda@gmail.com just for the purpose of giving you something to read at night while you're on the road!

I am totally amazed and proud of you for being all the way to Utah on a bicycle for the love of God! I would likely have died a horribly violent vapor lock death soon after leaving Cochranville!

Keep up the good work and I am dying to know if you ran into Joseph Smith or Brigham Young on the road out there in Mormon land! And watch out for Avenging Angels! They are nasty little creatures with a bad attitude! :-)

And I can't wait to hear where you are now!

    Love, Rew
